Coming In 2009

In case you hadn't heard, 2009 is the International Year of Astronomy, and marks the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first use of the telescope. So to celebrate, I've decided to start a new blog dedicated to sharing what I know about astronomy in a (hopefully) easy-to-understand way, as well as what I'm doing to help my son develop an appreciation for the universe. So check back in 2009, lots to come!

P.S. Don't forget to find out what's happening in your neck of the woods for IYA. For example, if you're in Santa Barbara, I have it on good authority that the Museum of Natural History will be your IYA headquarters and will blow you away with their high quality offerings throughout the year.
